Ad rejected: how to fix it

By the Answerbid teamVerified 12 October 20262 min read

Short answer

Read the rejection message, find the affected text, image or landing page, and make sure the whole ad and its destination comply with OpenAI's ad policies and describe the same offer. Then edit and resubmit, or use the appeal or Request Review option if you believe the policy doesn't apply.

Steps

  1. Hover the status or open the rejection email
  2. Identify the element: title, copy, image or landing page
  3. Check the policy area named
  4. Remove unsupported claims, mismatched offers or disallowed content
  5. Check the landing page loads for OAI-AdsBot
  6. Resubmit or appeal

Most common causes

  • Claims you can't substantiate (results, "best", "guaranteed")
  • Ad and page describing different offers
  • Restricted category in a country where it isn't allowed
  • Page that can't be reviewed (login, geo-block, bot wall)

Questions

Should we email support straight away?

Only if there is no appeal option or an appeal has been pending more than 7 days. Appeals are the fastest route.
