How to use the result
- Check access first. OpenAI offers negative phrases to qualifying advertisers. If you don't have them, use narrow context hints and separate ad groups instead.
- Keep 'free' if you sell a free plan. Trial and freemium conversations can be your cheapest pipeline.
- Review monthly. Add phrases when sales flags bad leads, and remove ones that block good conversations.
- Exclusions are not targeting. Context hints never exclude anything; only negatives, audiences and ad group choices do.

Questions
Straight answers.
Do all advertisers have negative phrases in ChatGPT ads?
No. OpenAI says qualifying advertisers can add negative phrases for brand-specific placement needs. Ask your OpenAI contact if you work with the sales team.
Should I exclude competitor names?
Usually not. Conversations comparing vendors are often the most valuable ones. Exclude a brand only for a clear reason, such as a partner agreement.
What does OpenAI already exclude?
OpenAI's policies keep ads away from sensitive conversations such as health, mental health and politics. Your list handles the business fit on top of that.
Is the list saved anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser. Download the file if you want to keep it.
