Product feed import: upload, hosted URL or SFTP

By the Answerbid teamVerified 12 October 20262 min read

Short answer

You can import a product feed as a CSV or TXT upload, from a hosted HTTPS URL, or by SFTP. Items expire after two weeks, so OpenAI recommends a hosted URL or automated SFTP for anything beyond a test. Processing takes minutes to hours depending on size.

MethodBest for
CSV or TXT uploadGetting started, occasional manual updates
Hosted URLA catalog at a stable HTTPS address
SFTPAutomated server-to-server uploads

Keep it healthy

  • Refresh well inside the two-week expiry
  • Check Upload History for errors after each import
  • Make sure product image hosts don't block OAI-SearchBot
  • Mark items you don't want advertised as not ads-eligible; products are eligible by default
