Invoices, receipts and VAT in Ads Manager

By the Answerbid teamVerified 12 October 20262 min read

Short answer

Every successful payment generates an emailed receipt, and each threshold charge has its own invoice. Add a VAT or other tax ID under Billing > Settings; the available types depend on your billing country, and a new tax ID only applies to future invoices.

Tips for finance teams

  • Use a shared finance mailbox as the invoice email
  • Add the tax ID before the first charge
  • Expect several invoices a month while thresholds are low
  • Billing entity and currency can't be changed self-serve

Questions

Does OpenAI give tax advice?

No. Ask your accountant how to treat the invoices, for example reverse charge in the EU.
