Short answer
An AI B2B ads agency turns the questions your buyers ask AI into campaigns, and the clicks into named companies for sales. The core services are question research, campaign build and management, creative, landing-page guidance, tracking, company identification, organic AI visibility, reporting and sales hand-off. Expect a weekly report with companies and pipeline, new ads every month, and budget moved weekly to the questions that bring the right accounts. You keep the ad account, approvals, budget and sales follow-up.
The nine core services
| Service | What it involves | What you receive |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Buyer question research | Finding the questions buyers ask AI before choosing a vendor, from sales calls, reviews, tickets and AI answers | A question map by decision stage |
| 2. Campaign build | Campaigns by market and device, one ad group per question, 20–60 context hints each | A campaign plan you approve before launch |
| 3. Management and bidding | Clicks first, conversions once tracked; weekly budget reallocation | A change log in each weekly report |
| 4. Creative | Titles and copy written as the next answer to the question; image selection | New ads each month, with the winners kept |
| 5. Landing-page guidance | Which page each question should land on, and what it must answer | A page brief per decision-stage question |
| 6. Tracking | OpenAI pixel, Conversions API, UTMs and CRM fields | A tested tracking plan |
| 7. Company identification | Naming the companies that visit, scoring them against your ideal customer | Named companies in your CRM, Slack or Teams |
| 8. AI visibility (AEO and GEO) | Tracking and improving how often AI answers name you | Share of answers vs competitors, page changes |
| 9. Reporting and sales hand-off | Weekly report, monthly review, alerts on high-fit accounts | Decisions, not only numbers |
Services 1–4 are the ads themselves. Services 5–7 are what make AI B2B ads work for B2B, where most visitors never fill in a form. Service 8 reaches the buyers who never see ads, such as users of ChatGPT Business and Enterprise.

The step-by-step version, including what you need to prepare: the first 90 days with an AI B2B ads agency.
A typical week
- Monday: weekly report. Spend, clicks and cost by question; companies identified and how many fit; meetings and pipeline; what changed and why.
- Tuesday: budget moves. Questions bringing fitting companies get more; questions bringing students and consultants get less.
- Wednesday: creative. Replace the weakest ads, test a new angle on the strongest question.
- Thursday: sales feedback. Which identified accounts were real, which were noise, and what buyers said on calls.
- Friday: research. New questions from sales calls and AI answer tracking go into next week’s plan.
What a weekly report should show: weekly AI ads report for B2B.
What stays with your team
- The ad account. You create it and invite the agency. OpenAI doesn’t let agencies create advertiser accounts for clients. How agency access works.
- Approvals. Nothing should run without your sign-off on ads, budgets and claims.
- The budget. Media billed to your card by the platform.
- Sales follow-up. The agency names the companies; your team calls them.
- Product truth. Pricing, integrations and claims must come from you. OpenAI’s ad policies restrict misleading and unsupported comparative claims.
Services you may not need
- Product feed campaigns: built for e-commerce catalogues, rarely useful for B2B software.
- Customer-list targeting: including people needs 25,000 matched users, and lists aren’t available in the EEA or Switzerland. For most B2B companies, lists are for exclusions only.
- Heavy video production: ChatGPT ads are short text with an image.
- Large always-on budgets before a test: prove the questions first.

Questions
Does an AI B2B ads agency write the landing pages?
It depends on the agency. Most should at least brief one page per decision-stage question. Sending ChatGPT clicks to the homepage wastes the context the buyer gave you.
How much of my team’s time does it take?
About two to four hours a week: approvals, a short weekly call, and sales following up identified companies.
Can the agency run LinkedIn and Google Ads too?
Some do. A specialist may only run AI placements and visibility, and share identified accounts with your existing paid-media partner. Ask before you sign.
Will the agency see our buyers’ conversations?
No. OpenAI doesn’t share conversations with advertisers. Reporting is aggregated: impressions, clicks, spend and conversions.
