Why can't I lower my budget below my bid?

By the Answerbid teamVerified 12 October 20262 min read

Short answer

For daily-budget campaigns with fixed bidding, the campaign's daily budget must be at least the highest effective per-event bid across its active ad groups, including audience bid adjustments. Lower the bid caps or multipliers first, then save the lower budget.

Example

An ad group with a $250.50 effective bid blocks any daily budget below $250.50. This isn't a general $250 minimum; it comes from that bid.

Fix

  1. Find ad groups with the highest bids or multipliers
  2. Reduce each to the budget amount or lower
  3. Save the new budget
