How to write it
- Short sentences and tables.
- One fact per line, no adjectives.
- Units and dates on everything.
- A "last updated" date at the top.
Where it pays off
- Answers about fit: "is X right for a company our size?"
- Answers about integrations and pricing.
- Corrections: when AI repeats old facts, an up-to-date page gives it something better to quote.
Where to put it
- A dedicated URL such as /product-facts or /facts, linked from the footer.
- Plain HTML text, not an image or a PDF.
- Included in the sitemap.
Questions
Isn't this the same as our product page?
Product pages sell; a facts page informs. Keep the facts page neutral and complete.
Should we include things we don't do?
Yes. "Not designed for companies under 20 people" helps AI and buyers rule you in or out correctly.
How often should it change?
Whenever pricing, integrations or packaging change, with the date updated.
Why AI needs one page of facts
AI assistants build answers from many sources at once. If your pricing is on one page, integrations on another and company-size fit implied in case studies, the assistant may miss some of it or combine it wrongly with older third-party pages. A single, dated page of facts gives it one reliable place to read.
Write for skim, not for persuasion
Facts pages work best when they read like a specification: short labelled lines, units, ranges and dates. No claims that need context to understand; no slogans. If a fact needs explaining, link to the page that explains it.
Keep a change history
A short "Changes" list at the bottom, such as "October 2026: added Sage Intacct integration", helps buyers and makes it obvious which version is current.
