Who we are
This website and the Answerbid service are run by AnswerBid.co, Poland. VAT EU (NIP): PL6783171607. REGON: 368967330 ("Answerbid", "we", "us"). We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. For anything about your data, email ask@answerbid.co.
What this policy covers
It covers people who visit this website, book a call, email us, or work at our clients and suppliers. When we process data for a client as part of our services, such as company identification on the client's website, we act as the client's processor under our data processing terms, and the client's own privacy notice applies.
What we collect
- Booking details: your name, work email, company, website and the answers you give when you book a call.
- Communications: emails and messages you send us, and notes from our calls.
- Client and supplier contacts: business contact details and the records we need to run a contract, invoice and get paid.
- Technical data: your IP address, browser and the pages requested, kept briefly in our hosting provider's server logs for security.
- Analytics (only with your consent): pages visited, device and approximate location, through Google Analytics.
- Company identification (only with your consent): the company associated with the network you visit from, and the pages viewed. We use it to see which businesses are interested in our services. It shows a company, not a person.
We don't knowingly collect data from children. This website is meant for business users.
Why we use it, and our legal bases
| Purpose | Legal basis (GDPR and UK GDPR) |
|---|---|
| Arranging and holding calls you request | Steps at your request before a contract; legitimate interests |
| Providing our services and invoicing | Performance of a contract; legal obligation |
| Keeping the website secure | Legitimate interests |
| Website analytics and company identification | Consent |
| Relevant B2B follow-up about our services | Legitimate interests; you can opt out at any time |
| Accounting, tax and legal compliance | Legal obligation |
We don't make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects.
Who we share it with
We use service providers that process data for us under contract: website hosting (GoDaddy), scheduling (Calendly), email, CRM, contract signing (PandaDoc), payments, analytics (Google Analytics), AI visibility tracking and company identification. We'll send the current list on request. We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or to protect our legal rights.
We don't sell personal data.
International transfers
Some providers process data outside the UK and the European Economic Area, including in the US. Where they do, we rely on adequacy decisions, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and its UK extension, or on standard contractual clauses with the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
How long we keep it
- Booking and enquiry data: up to 24 months after our last contact, unless we start working together.
- Client records: for the contract, and afterwards for as long as accounting and tax law requires (in Poland, generally 5 years from the end of the tax year).
- Server logs: up to 30 days, unless needed to investigate a security incident.
- Analytics data: 14 months, as set in Google Analytics.
- Company identification data: up to 14 months.
Your rights in the EU and the UK
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, receive a copy of it, restrict or object to how we use it, and withdraw your consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. Email us and we'll respond within one month.
You can also complain to a data protection authority: in Poland, UODO (uodo.gov.pl); in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk); or the authority where you live or work. We'd appreciate the chance to help first.
Your rights in the US
If you live in a US state with a consumer privacy law, such as California, you can ask to know what personal information we hold about you, and to correct or delete it. We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioural advertising without your consent. Analytics and company identification run only after you opt in, and if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out. Email us to make a request. We won't treat you differently for using your rights, and we'll verify requests before acting on them.
Categories we collect are listed above under "What we collect": identifiers and contact details, professional information, internet activity on this website (with consent), and approximate location (with consent). We use them for the purposes in the table above.
